I try to always empathise and see what positive additions I can make to their efforts or what initiative I can take to even do better. TIGed provided my students and I with the virtual classroom tools and resources that we needed to link to students from another side of the world. My students look forward to using TIG and other websites to learn more about the reality of life in different corners of the world: they realize that even though we live in a diverse world, there are ways for us to understand and respect each other. A good leader does not dominate nor dictate. A good leader produces other leaders, not followers. A good leader should understand the importance of service. Leaders are supposed to serve, but many people do not understand this. Nelson Mandela epitomizes the ideal serving leader as he served his native peoples to fight for human rights.
